Nicholas Jerry Jonas, widely recognized as Nick Jonas, is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. Born on September 16, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, Nick has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry, both as a solo artist and as a member of the renowned band, the Jonas Brothers.​

Early Life and Family Background

Nick was born to Denise and Paul Kevin Jonas Sr. and raised in a musical household alongside his older brothers, Kevin and Joe, and younger brother, Frankie. His mother, a former sign language teacher and singer, and his father, a songwriter and former ordained minister, nurtured Nick's early interest in music and performance. By the age of seven, Nick was performing on Broadway, showcasing his talents in productions such as "Les Misérables" and "Beauty and the Beast." ​

Formation and Success with the Jonas Brothers

In 2005, Nick, along with Kevin and Joe, formed the pop-rock band Jonas Brothers. Their debut album, "It's About Time," was released in 2006, followed by their self-titled second album in 2007, which achieved multi-platinum status. The band's association with Disney Channel, starring in movies like "Camp Rock" and their series "Jonas," catapulted them to international fame. 

Solo Career and Musical Evolution

Following the Jonas Brothers' initial hiatus in 2013, Nick embarked on a solo career, releasing albums such as "Nick Jonas" (2014) and "Last Year Was Complicated" (2016). His solo work explored a more mature sound, blending pop with R&B influences, and produced hits like "Jealous" and "Close." ​

Acting Career

Nick has also pursued acting, with roles in films like "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" (2017) and its sequel "Jumanji: The Next Level" (2019). On television, he appeared in the series "Scream Queens" and served as a coach on "The Voice." ​

Recent Projects and Tours

In 2025, the Jonas Brothers announced their "Living the Dream Tour" to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The tour is set to commence on August 10 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and will span 42 cities, concluding on November 14 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. The tour will feature special guests and performances from the brothers' solo projects, including Nick's solo work and his side project, Nick Jonas & The Administration. ​

In addition to the tour, Nick made his Broadway debut in "The Last Five Years," which is scheduled to run until June 22, 2025. ​

Personal Life

Nick married actress Priyanka Chopra in December 2018. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Malti Marie, via surrogate in January 2022.
